Toyota is revving up excitement with the reveal of the GR GT, a supercar targeting a 2027 release. The prototype lays the groundwork for what could be Toyota’s most powerful production vehicle yet.

Sculpted with racing precision, the car features a low-slung body, wide stance, and rear-wheel drive—all hallmarks of high-performance engineering. The design reflects Toyota’s goal of blending racing pedigree with everyday drivability.

Underneath the bodywork lies a new 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine supported by an electric motor. Toyota says the combined output will exceed 650 hp, sending the car past 320 kph.

The GR GT is poised to inherit the legacy of the 2000GT and the revered Lexus LFA. Both models set new standards in their era, and Toyota hopes the GR GT will follow suit.

Two more prototypes—the GR GT3 racing version and the all-electric Lexus LFA Concept—were also showcased, highlighting a diverse performance future.
